The following paragraphs deliniate our limited editons into three distinct edition types: Thumb Print Editions, Middle Finger Editions, and Pinky Print Editions. All images, no matter what edition type are printed to the same exacting standards set by the artist. It is at the artist's discretion to print the work personally or to have the work printed by Booksmart Studio, our partner printer. Most prints are available in any of the editions. All editions are limited to 9 prints spread across three tiers. Each tier represents increase in price as the image moves toward exinction or retirement, with the thought that images closer to retirement are rarer commodoties than those further from retirement. The inserted table will give you a more visual idea of our pricing policies.
- Thumb Print Editions are Printed by Booksmart Studio. All print instructions from the artist are carried out meticulously by their highly qualified and trained staff. They have a stellar reputation in the limited edition printing industry and are the only studio I trust. Images are currently printed on the finest substrates available and returned to the artist for numbering, titling, signature, marking, protective coverings, and matching with certificate of authenticity. Image size will vary slightly based upon the aspect ratio of the images. Most images in this series are at an 11:16.5 ratio. Most images in the thumb Print Editions have their shortest side measuring approximately 30 inches. We add several inches to each side of our prints to aid in their stability when matted and framed as well as giving us room to accomodate writing and marking.
- Middle Finger Editions are in the middle of our size range of limited editions. They are currently printed in our private Studio. Images printed by the artist will be notated on the certificate of authenticity. Images in this group have a short side maximum image size of 15 inches and can extend beyond 22 inches long with our longer than 11:16.5 aspect ratio prints, and longer yet for panoramas. You may also encounter a nearly square print in this range as well. These images are printed on 17 inch wide paper and can be square, rectangular, or panoramic depending on the image.
- Pinky Prints are the most diminutive prints in our current offerings and printed directly by the artist. Rectangular images are again approximately 11:16.5 aspect ratio and can vary in length depending upon the cropping. General short side image measurements are approximately 6.5 inches. All prints in this edition type are designed for fine art paper no larger than 14x17 inches in size.
All images are printed on acid free art papers. After a drying and outgassing period of 24 hours they are numbered, titled, signed, and stamped with the artist's finger print. The images are then sprayed with a barrier fixative and then finished with a UVLS archival varnish. All images are matted and conservation assembled. Images should be framed for enclosure protection against contaminants, moisture, and damage due to handling. Museum glass should be used due to its clarity, lower static charging than plexiglass, and UV filtering capacity. This print with its archival paper, pigment inks, barriers and varnish, along with proper conservation framing can be something passed along through many generation of family or collector.
